Glenn Cropper Pratt passed away at age 92, January 25, 2012, at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. He was born in Hinckley, Utah, April 5, 1919 to Wilford F. and Lyle C. Pratt. He graduated from BYU in 1941 in Banking and Finance. He owned and operated Pratt's Shoe Store in Provo from 1947 until 1995. He married Ethelyn May Myers in the Salt Lake Temple on February 15, 1943. They were blessed with two sons, Glenn Duane and Douglas Myers. He will always be remembered for his intellect and keen memory. He spent a lifetime studying and investing wisely in the Stock Market. He was a member of 8 Bishoprics as Ward Financial Clerk for 25 years, plus 3 years as Stake Financial Clerk.
Glenn leaves behind his two sons, a daughter-in-law (Janece Newman), and four grandchildren, Heather Jorgensen (Colbie), Stephen, Christen, and Andrew Pratt. He is also survived by two sisters, Geniel McAllister and Alene Mangelson (Ned). He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ethelyn, his parents, his brother Howard, and DeLos McAllister, a brother-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the mortuary Monday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
