Dawn Myers Butterfield, 89, of Provo, Utah, passed away on January 8, 2012. She was born on March 12, 1922 in Panguitch, Utah to Richard James Myers and Jenny Dean Wilcock Myers.

She married Dale Butterfield on February 7, 1943 in Reno, Nevada, and lived in Provo most of her life. Dawn attended beauty school and owned her own beauty salon for 20 years. She also worked at Brigham Young University as a Food and Beverage Secretary and for the Alumni Association.

Dawn loved working in her garden and roses were always her favorite flower. She had a talent for creating beautiful flower arrangements.

Dawn is survived by her 3 children: Bette Butterfield (Gil) Lopez of Los Altos, CA; Lynne Butterfield (Tom) Hunsaker of Goodyear, AZ and Pagosa Springs, CO; and Renae Butterfield (Michael) Migdat of Flagstaff, AZ; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and younger sister, Jessie Hartvigsen of Provo, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Butterfield, her daughter, Judy Ann Knorr, and her sisters, Ulala Butler, Grace Elmer, Dean Peery, Della Bliss, Beth Lyman, Rita Gailey, and Merla Bullock.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Edgemont 6th Ward Chapel, 4000 North 650 East, Provo. Friends may call at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 until 10:45. Interment will be in Eastlawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, Provo, Utah.
