Mr. Walter Price "Dusty" Moore, age 67 passed away on July 27th, 2012.
He was born on July 30, 1944 in Nash County. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Dusty cherished his family. Dusty served his country in the US Air Force. He was the owner and operator of Moore Plumbing Company, LLC for 40 years. A member of the West Mount Baptist Church and Past President of the West Mount Ruritan Club, Dusty was very involved in his community.
He is preceded in death by his wife Olive Kornegay Moore, parents: R.E. "
Bob" and Mary Rouse Moore, and brother Buddy Moore.
Dusty is survived by his two daughters: Leslie and Spencer Patten of Goldsboro, Khristy and Dee Parker of Rocky Mount; sister Mary Ann and Marshall Campbell of Travelers Rest, SC, brother Joe Moore of Rocky Mount, and dear friend Jean Edwards Mellor of Red Oak; four grandchildren: Olive Ann, Lottie and Fenner Parker, and Bostwick Price Patten; sisters in law Phyllis Moore and Carolyn K. and Ray Garris both of Rocky Mount, and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Dusty's Life will be held Tuesday, July 31st, 2012 at 11 am in the Chapel of Johnson Funerals and Cremation, 661 English Road. The interment with Military Rites will be held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday night from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the West Mount Baptist Church, Memorial Fund, 8487 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount 27803
